Em.Sty is one of a very talented professional MUA in Melbourne, with years of professional experience in either commercial, cat-walk fashion show, and wedding field, and been working with XI for a very long time, at this time, we are shooting a fashion make-up portrait done by Em.Sty, for a competition purpose, both XI and Em. Styd has done our best part, good luck with this shot~~

Our Business Card is finally here~

We worked in the photography industry for years, XI is our new branding begins in 2012, we knew that it is critical to deliver our message right away when we meet new people, i have managed to seek our business card design thoughts since March, having talked to our designer, it is better to keep things as simple and easy, having said that, i decide to have our business card printed in an unusual way- undoubtedly is to IMPRESS.

Having chosen an oversea business card design company and their deluxe paper material used, a 3 times thicker than a traditional business card you would come across, and its super fine texture and feels that makes touching the card a ‘sense of pleasure’ to your hands (what?)..xd~ and the edge of the card has been filled with colour that makes a real impression to new people.

An apologise is made to new friends we meet during the wait of our new business card..we were giving them our old ones.. with crappy look and image..and not so up-to-date contact info.. we are now more than happy to send you a new one now~~

2 New Equipment

This is quite a while for us looking for an upgrade to our existing video shooting equipment, we acquired our first Merlin about 2 years ago, now we’ve put our effort a step further for an arm and vest upgrade, right before our next client’s big day, Louis has manipulated the arm and vest so well and create motions that we’ve been dreaming of long long time ago since we entered the industry, now becomes a reality, but more importantly during its first test, we definitely need more practices in its steadiness and our pace, also dig out more ideas and angles that we couldnt have thinking of without the aid of this investment.

To another piece of newbie, i didnt imagine it could arrive my doorstep a day right in time before our next client’s wedding, with an overnight practice, luckily a few shots were created smoothly with this dolly, and to my opinion, it is a lot better than our existing sidetrack in terms of creativity, but also has its limitations… Now we’ve strengthen our motion pictures, what comes next?

Jone Pre-Wedding

Jone and Katy is a lovely couple, we have known each other since 2005, glad to witness their marriage, as a photographer, Jone hire us for pre-wedding and wedding day shoot; during the shoot, smile and laugh never ends, they are so cheerful and happy be with each other, and of coz has the confident in our eyes and cameras; we’ve tried a different spot to shoot their pre-wedding, we love the new composition thoughts and ideas these places have given us, and of coz we look forward their big day~ Gallery has been updated, please follow HERE

This album was created during our trip to Taiwan in the early February in 2012, in the aim of building up XI portfolio.

Thanks Emma for supporting XI, and of coz being a tour guide to show us around Taiwan during our stay, Taipei is an energetic city with abundant tradition and culture of both chinese and japanese, we are seriously in love with TW hawker’s food in the night market we visited twice, we love the coffee and cafes around the city, Taipei ppl are so nice, for instance we met a funny taxi driver who is eager to teach us japanese, and ask us to say the dialogue after him, so funny~ i love to visit eslite mega book store that opens 24/7… and too much to mention, definitely visit Taipei again~
